Marriage licenses

Miami-Dade, Broward and Orange counties finished 1, 2 and 3 in recording Florida marriage licenses in 2014.

State figures also indicate the busiest month for marriages was May (14,495), followed closely by March (14,227). The least-chosen month for getting hitched? December, which logged only 50 marriage licenses for the entire state!, according to the Florida Department of Health Office of Vital Statistics early report for 2014.

Date inspecting for past and present marriages in Florida has a new dimension.

Escambia County issued more marriage licenses
(2,681) last year than any Florida Panhandle county, Florida statistics show.

But, for date inspectors, it's the features of the special marriage search from the Escambia County Circuit Court Clerk's Office that makes it one of the best of its kind in Florida.

People in the dating game in Florida will have a new marriage check to consider starting Tuesday.

Florida's clerks of court on that day will begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Florida becomes the 36th state to allow gay and lesbian marriages after a long series of legal battles ended with a judge's order that all Florida court clerks would issue licenses.
