How many marriage licenses did your Florida county issue last year?

  
Miami-Dade, Broward and Orange counties finished 1, 2 and 3 in recording Florida marriage licenses in 2014.

State figures also indicate the busiest month for marriages was May (14,495), followed closely by March (14,227). The least-chosen month for getting hitched? December, which logged only 50 marriage licenses for the entire state!, according to the Florida Department of Health Office of Vital Statistics early report for 2014.

People tend to get married in the county in which they live. But be aware that they can get their marriage licenses in another Florida county and get married elsewhere. But no matter where somone gets married, the county that issued the license is the official keeper of the license.

MyFloridaCounty.com offers a limited ability to search more than one county at a time. The Florda Office of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville will search for marriage records statewide dating back to 1927 for a fee.
