WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham reports that a widow on a 50s-and-older online dating web site lost thousands from a sweetheart scammer who claimed to working in the Ukraine and needed money. And local authorities say she isn't the first victim.

The Toronto Sun reports that Toronto Police are getting complaints about an online dating scam in which fraudsters using fake profiles are luring contacts into racy video chats. Then the scammers say they have recorded the chats and will spread them around unless the victim sends money.

 
Comedian Mike Bobrinskoy met a professed model named "Alexandra" on OK Cupid who wanted him big-time.

She also wanted $850 of his money to avert a personal crisis.

The stand-up guy from Chicago plays along with his bogus new scammer pal through some hilarious email exchanges. The fun for him – and the frustration for "Alexandra" – starts at 1:12 in the video.
