Fascinating finds from Pew's sweeping study of online dating
This blog wasn't active when the Pew Research Center rolled out its latest study last year on online dating and relationships, so I'm posting it for reference now and later.
Pew excels at taking the pulse of the online daing scene, and researchers didn't miss a beat in compiling this report released in October 2013. From attitudes and online dating site use to experience ratings, there's a ton of intriguing info nuggets, and here's two of many that stood out to me: "Half (54%) of online daters have felt that somone else seriously misrepresented themselves in their profile. And more seriously, 28% on online daters have been contacted by someone through an online dating site or app in a way that made them feel harassed or uncomfortable.
Just more reminders that you can't be too careful in the dating game.
Pew followed up its report with this related Valentine Day's list of "5 facts about online dating." And here's a link to the original complete report. You can also read the report below.
