Dating scam victim never meant "going to my place" to be like this

A 61-year-old Wisconsin man encountered dating's dark side with a 21-year-old woman he met online.

Colleen Henry of WISN 12 in Milwaukee reports that a Menomonee Falls man met up a few times with the woman. The last time, they were at a bar when told him she had to go to the restroom. Instead, she slipped out the back door. He had invited her to his home that evening for a barbecue.

When the man called her 20 minutes later and asked where she was, she told him: "At your house" and hung up.

When he arrived at his house, gone was the woman along with his credit cards, check books and other items, the story says. His big barbecue idea lead to him getting smoked in this case.
