Gainesville is the single most single adult city in America.
That's the word in this piece from Hunter Schwarz of the Washington Post about how there are more single adults than married ones in America for the first time.
The piece notes that college towns in metro areas tend to have the highest concentrations of singles. Gainesville, home to the University of Florida, topped all other cities in the country at 62.1 percent. Louisiana and Rhode Island tied as the states with the highest percentage of single adults, according to the Post's analysis.
