Did your date really get a divorce in Jacksonville? Check now

Find out if someone really got divorced in Jacksonville or Duval County as claimed.

This search from the Duval County Circuit Court Clerk's Office can help you find out the answer plus much more.

When did the divorce happen? Who sued to split up? Were children involved in the divorce? The database can help you find those answers going back to the 1970s.

Start by clicking on "public access." On the search page, you can use the "court type" pulldown menu to narrow your search to family law cases. Family law also includes domestic violence and child support cases, among others. The first person listed in the divorce action will be the plaintiff, or the person filing for the divorce. The case docket will provide details on whether the divorce was granted along with motions in the case relating to children and other issues.

Your ability to see related documents online will depend on access availability by law and whether you signed up for an account. The divorce file itself is available for inspection at the circuit court clerk's office, although some restrictions may apply by law to certain details, such as bank account and Social Security numbers.
